How will a nutrition plan benefit my child?
Parents in today’s world are very concerned about the health of their children. We understand these concerns and instead of prescribing a diet, we focus on healthy habit-building through food. Kids don’t need to be on a fixed “fad” diet - and they are too young to be put on such diets. We focus on fixing a child’s relationship with food and help you plan and create meals and routines that are nourishing and sustainable. Where necessary, we add fortification and extra nutrients, based on which side of the growth spurt the child is on. We create personalised diet plans that are suited to your child. We have brought about healthy and long-lasting changes in the lives of our patients with the right diet.
Will my child gain weight/grow taller?
Childhood obesity is on the rise thanks to foods that have too many calories but little to no nutrients. Studies show that kids today are eating caloric-dense and opposed to nutrient-dense foods. Our diet will mobilise fat and stabilise hunger hormones without interfering with growth.
Is it serious that my child is constipated?
Constipation is becoming more common these days with the changing environment. We can help you solve this problem with the right diet.
How long do I need to breastfeed?
There are different opinions. The WHO says 6 months - but ideally stick with feeds for 10 months and upto 2 years.
Is formula ok?
We believe it is not necessary and should be looked upon as an SOS. Ideally, by the end of 1.5 years kids should be off formula.
Do you provide diet charts in your plans?
Yes, we provide personalised diet charts which tell you what to eat from the moment you wake up to bedtime tonics.
What kind of diet do you prescribe?
We don’t follow rigid diets like Keto, Paleo or Vegan. At NBL, we prescribe personalised diets that don’t make you feel deprived. We fuel your body with nourishing meals, choosing foods that you like, with a healthy spin. We take into account your taste preferences, lifestyle, daily routine, budget and more to design a plan that you can stick to.
Will I be consulting with Lovneet or with someone else?
There are two options - you can choose to consult directly with Lovneet or work with Team NBL, our team of clinical nutritionists who have trained under Lovneet.
What is Lovneet’s background?
Lovneet is a clinical nutritionist with a decade of experience. She holds an MS & BS in Dietetics from Michigan State University and is a member of the Indian Dietetics Association and a member of the Academy Of Nutrition & Dietetics, USA. You can read more about her here.
How will a nutrition plan benefit me?
Nutrition is the foundation of health and an important aspect of treating and preventing disease. We create personalised diet plans that are suited to your body, your existing health condition (if any) and to your goals. We have brought about healthy and long-lasting changes in the lives of our patients with the right diet.
How soon will I see results?
Results will vary depending on your existing health issues, goals, age and bio-individuality. No diet will work overnight. At NBL, we believe nutrition is a journey and that healthy food and lifestyle go hand in hand to bring about lasting change. We are committed to working with you to help you find a sustainable solution.
Do you provide recipes in your plans?
We do not provide recipes, but an outline of what to eat. You can find several healthy recipes on our site.
How many consultations do I get and how often do I get to speak with Lovneet?
This depends on your plan. If you choose the plan with Lovneet, you get 1 one-on-one consultation per week. If you choose the Team NBL plan, you get 1 one-on-one consultation per week with an NBL team member and 1 group session per month with Lovneet.
What kind of diet do you give?
We don’t believe in deprivation diets that cut out certain food groups completely (unless absolutely necessary). We prescribe balanced and easy-to-follow diets that you can stick with in the long-term.
