How will a nutrition plan benefit me?

Nutrition is the foundation of health and an important aspect of treating and preventing disease. We create personalised diet plans that are suited to your body, your existing health condition (if any) and to your goals. We have brought about healthy and long-lasting changes in the lives of our patients with the right diet.

Do you specialise in prenatal health?

Will the lactation diet affect my feed and will it really help?

Yes, our diets positively affect lactation.

My sleep cycle is completely off after delivery - can you help?

The main goal of our postnatal program is to help moms in recovery, lactation and fitness. A new mom’s sleep routine is adversely affected upon giving birth, and this leads to her becoming unfit with junk food - feeding can make moms feel tired and junk becomes a way to quickly quell hunger after a feed. We give the right postnatal fortification with food, so that new moms feel more energised, less moody and less stressed. We help moms get the right fuel when they are awake, so they have a more restful sleep. There is a misconception that eating a lot after birth makes you put on weight - this is untrue. Eating the wrong foods will make you gain weight, but eating plenty of nutrient-dense postnatal foods will keep you fit.

How soon will I see results?

Results will vary depending on your existing health issues, goals, age and bio-individuality. No diet will work overnight. At NBL, we believe nutrition is a journey and that healthy food and lifestyle go hand in hand to bring about lasting change. We are committed to working with you to help you find a sustainable solution.

How much weight will I lose in a month?

Weight loss metrics also vary from person to person. When you lose fat too quickly, your body doesn’t have the time to adapt and reset to the new you. We encourage our patients to aim to lose weight at the rate of ½ to 1 kilogram per week, as this slower rate allows your body to adapt to the new metabolic demands, keeping the weight off for good.

What kind of diet do you prescribe?

We don’t follow rigid diets like Keto, Paleo or Vegan. At NBL, we prescribe personalised diets that don’t make you feel deprived. We fuel your body with nourishing meals, choosing foods that you like, with a healthy spin. We take into account your taste preferences, lifestyle, daily routine, budget and more to design a plan that you can stick to.

Do you provide diet charts in your plans?

Yes, we provide personalised diet charts which tell you what to eat from the moment you wake up to bedtime tonics.

Do you provide food in your plans?

No, we do not provide cooked meals, ingredients or food delivery. We give you a daily meal plan with what to eat, when, and in what quantity.

Do you prescribe supplements in your plans?

If necessary, Lovneet and her team do prescribe supplements, after studying your reports.

What kind of diet do you give?

We don’t believe in deprivation diets that cut out certain food groups completely (unless absolutely necessary). We prescribe balanced and easy-to-follow diets that you can stick with in the long-term.

What is Lovneet’s background?

Lovneet is a clinical nutritionist with a decade of experience. She holds an MS & BS in Dietetics from Michigan State University and is a member of the Indian Dietetics Association and a member of the Academy Of Nutrition & Dietetics, USA. You can read more about her here.

Will I be consulting with Lovneet or with someone else?

There are two options - you can choose to consult directly with Lovneet or work with Team NBL, our team of clinical nutritionists who have trained under Lovneet.

Do you provide recipes in your plans?

We do not provide recipes, but an outline of what to eat. You can find several healthy recipes on our site.

How much weight will I lose?

Weight loss will vary from person to person based on their bio-individuality. But in general, losing weight in the range of 1/2 to 1 kg per week is healthy and sustainable.
