Garbanzo Bean Pancake with Fruit Sauce

How to prepare?

Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp Chickpea Flour
  • 1 tsp Carrot (finely grated)
  • 1 tsp Red bell pepper (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp Onion (finely chopped)
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric powder
  • ¼ tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 tbsp Chopped Coriander Leaves
  • Salt According to taste
  • Water Accordingly
  • 1 tbsp Fruit Sauce (your choice)
  • 1 tbsp Ghee

Instructions
  • In a mixing bowl add the chickpea flour and then slowly add the water.
  • Whisk until smooth and set aside.
  • In a frying pan, heat 1 tsp ghee.
  • Cook carrot, red bell pepper, onion, turmeric and cumin seeds for 5 mins.
  • Add the carrot mixture to the chickpea batter along with the chopped coriander and salt.
  • Mix well.
  • Heat a non stick frying pan over a medium-high heat. 
  • When hot add a drizzle of the ghee. 
  • Add a tablespoon of the batter to the pan and use the back of spoon to spread it.
  • Cook from both sides until slight brown color comes up. 
  • Remove pancakes from the pan and pour a fruit sauce.
  • Serve immediately.
