Special Comments

For a richer flavor, lightly mash some of the peas while simmering to create a thicker gravy. You can also add a splash of coconut milk for a subtle sweetness. Pair it with warm chapati or jeera rice for a comforting meal!

Curried Green Peas

Notes/ Precautions
Adjust Spice Levels: If you prefer a milder curry, reduce the black pepper and garam masala. For extra heat, add a pinch of red chili powder.
Fresh vs. Frozen Peas: Fresh peas may take longer to cook, while frozen peas cook faster. Adjust the cooking time accordingly.
Avoid Overcooking: Simmer just until the peas are tender to retain their natural sweetness and texture. Overcooking can make them mushy.
Balancing Acidity: If the tomatoes make the curry too tangy, a pinch of sugar can help balance the flavors.
